My home

This program uses the home and its surroundings to help the student to learn listening, identifying, and naming skills.

Click on the “Start” button to go to the settings screen of the program.

This program has three modes. They are Demo, Training and Test.

This program also has six sub-programs for each of the three modes. Each sub-program uses one familiar part of the home. These parts are bathroom, bedroom, dining room, front yard, kitchen and living room.
In the setting screen, under Selection, items are listed that appear in the six sub-programs. This list is disabled for “Demo” and “Training”. It is available only for the “Test” mode.

There are three navigation buttons (Left Arrow, Square, and Right Arrow) at the bottom of the program screen.

This is the left arrow. If this button is clicked, the Demo restarts at the beginning.
Stop
This is the square. If this button is clicked, the Demo pauses at the current item. During the pause, the square changes to two vertical lines.

Training

The mouse pointer changes from a hand to a hand with a pointing finger when it is over an item. When the student clicks on the item, a green frame appears around the item, the name of the item appears in popup text on the screen, the program pronounces the name of the item, and the name of the item appears at the bottom.

The green frame and the text remain there until the student clicks the next item.
The student can use this program independently.
